SAMUEL ADOLPHUS CRUTCHER
Born October 14, 1818 - Died January 13, 1899
Samuel Adolphus and Catherine Crutcher first lived in Williamson County
Tennessee, moving in 1860 to Marshall County, settling about one mile south
of Chapel Hill, Tennessee.
After the death of his wife, he lived with his son, Samuel Owen,
and visited his other children living in Tennessee, dying at the home of his
son, Sam Owen.

April 13, 1899:
Samuel A. Crutcher was born in Virginia October 13, 1818, was married in
1843, lived near Chapel Hill forty years; served as a deacon in Chapel Hill
congregation sixteen years, was then elected ruling elder.
He died near Franklin, Tennessee January 13, 1899. He was a good man, full
of faith and the Holy Ghost. He leaves four sons and three daughters to
mourn their loss. Children, your father taught you how the Christian can live
and die; imitate his example, follow him, and by and by you will see him again.
